Kvadrat textiles are made mainly from natural, health-friendly materials and are durable and well-designed fabrics.

Founded in 1968, Kvadrat is deeply rooted in the Scandinavian design tradition and has quickly become the number one manufacturer of fabrics in Europe thanks to its wide variety and high quality.

Aiming to create high-quality textiles that will not fade in texture or color even after daily use, the company has released 150 patterns and 3,500 color variations to date.

Believing that durability is the most important aspect of eco-friendly design, most Kvadrat textiles carry a 10-year warranty. Kvadrat textiles are made from only the highest quality raw materials, making them durable and minimizing environmental impact. (Martindale Dale values give you an idea of the strength of abrasion resistance.) [*Martindale: See About "Martindale" below.]

Because of its high quality, it is used as upholstery fabric by many leading furniture manufacturers in Denmark.

Kvadrat has collaborated with leading designers, architects, and artists, constantly pushing the boundaries of the textile's aesthetic, technical, and functional properties.

Kvadrat values color as much as collaboration.

Delicate colors and textures that evoke a nostalgic feeling. The unique Scandinavian design will comfortably color your space.

Kvadrat uses natural wool, which has excellent deodorizing and heat retention properties, and is stain resistant, making it safe for daily use.

About Martindale

An abrasion test value that serves as a standard for durability. The strength of abrasion resistance can be determined by the Martindale value. This value is not so familiar in Japan, but it is commonly used overseas.

● Light use (Martindale 10,000-15,000)
This is for light household use, such as occasional use of furniture.
● General use (Martindale 15,000-25,000)
This type of furniture is for general household furniture for daily use.
● General use to heavy use (Martindale 25,000-40,000)
This is for heavy-use household furniture.
● Heavy use (Martindale 40,000~)
Can be used in commercial furniture. Suitable for use in commercial environments.

The Martindale value is a good reference for fabric selection, but it is important to note that a higher value does not necessarily mean stronger fabric.
The Martindale value cannot be used to measure the resistance of a fabric to getting caught under a pet's sharp nails, or to getting stained by spilling a drink.
Therefore, in addition to the Martindale value, please select the fabric material, weaving method, maintenance method, etc., according to the situation in which the fabric will be used.

Divina Melange 3

Divina Melange 3 is a vibrant, felt-like, post-dyed wool textile for furniture. The color palette created by artist/designer Finn Sködt is fresh, versatile, bright and simple.

Compact, comfortable, and extremely smooth, Divina Melange 3 is a vibrantly colored textile that beautifully accentuates the silhouette of your furniture. It is made by simple binding weaving followed by pressure and high temperatures. This milling process, often used in fine tailoring, transforms coarse-grained fabrics into soft, homogeneous felt-like textures.

The color palette of the textile, which is created by post-dyeing a dark or light-dark melange, beautifully reflects Finn Sködt's purist aesthetic. The new color scale includes typical colors such as hot pink and forest green, along with Finn Sködt's beloved ultramarine, muted tones, and neutral colors. These colors were carefully selected from an extensive color library that the designer hand-documented the colors he used during his decades as a painter.
